Best MojoLauncher settings for performance

A practical, tested-by-you starting point for smoother Minecraft on your Android device. Change one setting at a time and compare.

There is no universal best configuration. Phones differ in GPU, RAM and cooling. These are sensible starting values, not guarantees.

1. Update the launcher

Drivers and compatibility improve with each release. Install the latest from the MojoLauncher homepage or Google Play, and see the changelog.

2. Pick the right renderer

Newer Adreno (7xx, 8xx)Freedreno with TurnipHoly GL4ES
Mali / MediaTekHoly GL4ESZink plugin, LTW
Heavy shader modsLTWFreedreno or Zink

Community reports on speed conflict, so test two renderers in the same world and location.

3. Allocate memory sensibly

Give Minecraft enough memory but leave a large share for Android itself. As a rule of thumb, use roughly half of the device's RAM for vanilla and a bit more for big modpacks. Too much allocation can make the system kill the app. Raise the value gradually.

4. In-game video settings

SettingStarting value
Render distance6 to 10 chunks
Simulation distance5 or lower
ParticlesDecreased or minimal
Smooth lightingOff if you need FPS
Clouds / entity distanceReduced

5. Keep the device cool

Thermal throttling is the most common cause of FPS dropping after a few minutes. Remove thick cases, avoid charging while playing and close background apps.

6. Controls

Build a small layout with only the buttons you use, and enable keyboard panning if you chat often. Full details in Mojo Launcher controls.

7. Mods

On weaker devices prefer Fabric with performance mods. See Forge and Fabric and how to install mods.
